About us
The International Aeolus Competition for wind instruments has firmly established itself as one of the most prestigious music competitions in the world and it is announced for the instruments flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone and tuba.
The competition is considered the basis of a world career: Former prize winners are today solo instrumentalists in top international orchestras and/or are teaching at leading music academies.
The Aeolus Competition is open to young musicians of any nationality up to the age of 28.
Each year three of the instruments are competing for the total prize money of Euro 60.000,-. The first prize is worth Euro 20.000,-.
