The Norwegian National Opera Orchestra (Operaorkestret) is seeking a highly qualified and motivated French horn player for the postition of 3rd Horn with obligation to 1st. Our 100 member orchestra plays operas, ballets, concerts and have it's own chamber music series. The horn section has 7 full time positions.

The audition will take place at the Opera in Oslo on March 29 and 30, 2023. Invitations to selected candidates will be sent out approximately four weeks prior to the audition dates.
A trial period may be offered as part of the audition process and interviews might be conducted as part of the hiring process.

The video must be recorded in one continuous take and must not be edited.
In order to guarantee that the recording has not been edited, it is important to ensure that the candidate is visible throughout the take. You can take your time in between the pieces, and you can tune your instrument if necessary, but the camera must be on the whole time.
Smartphones are adequate for recording Ensure that there is a suitable distance between the microphone and the instrument and use landscape mode. The whole instrument should be visible.
