___________
These video recordings will be evaluated by our jury, and all candidates will be informed whether or not they will be considered further in the audition process.
Thank you for applying, we are looking forward to hearing you play.
____________
Please note:
All video recordings submitted are instead of the first two rounds of a live audition, so it is extremely important that members of the jury can see that they are unedited.
In order for us to be sure that the recordings are unedited we ask all candidates to make sure that they are visible throughout the whole take.
Tuning between excerpts is of course allowed and candidates can take all the time they need between the excerpts. As long as all of this happens with the camera recording.
We understand that candidates would like to send recordings of as good quality as possible, but we also know that not everyone has access to the same quality of equipment. Recordings made with a normal smartphone is good enough as far as we are concerned. Just be sure to have the smartphone set up far enough so that the sound doesn't distort, and so that you are always in the video (even when you move a bit)
Video(s) are required for pre-selection purposes (details below).
Video recordings of the following material should be submitted with initial application:
1) Mozart: Bassoon concerto 1. movement from bar 74 until the end, without cadenza.
2) Lerstad: Sonata for contrabassoon and piano, 3rd movement, Scherzo from letter 10 (bar 34) until D.C. al Fine senza rep.
These recordings should be in 2 separate files , 1 for the concerto and 1 for the sonata. These recordings can be done With or without piano accompagnement.
