    Preliminary video round: deadline 24 July 2022

    Notification of preliminary round results: 29 July 2022

    Live audition (by invitation): 21 August 2022 and 22 August 2022 (orchestral round)

    This is a permanent, full-time position preferably with a start date in January 2023, however, the employment date will be mutually agreed upon based on the availability of the winning candidate.

    Preliminary Video Round (deadline 24 July 2022): 

    Candidates are asked to submit an unedited video recording (video may be stopped and then restarted between works) of the following, to be performed on oboe: 

    • One fast and one slow movement of a baroque or classical work (must be accompanied) 
    • One short modern work (accompanied or unaccompanied, here a modern etude is also acceptable and extended techniques welcome)

    Live Audition (21 August):

    Should you be invited, you are asked to prepare the following on oboe:

    • Mozart Concerto in C, KV 314, 1st and 2nd movements WITH cadenzas
    • Excerpts: You may access the excerpts at later than 20 June 2022.

    The Norwegian Wind Ensemble will have a pianist available for the live audition, but you are welcome to bring your own.

    Other information:

    The ensemble owns English horns and oboe d’amore instruments. 

    The jury will take into consideration that everyone has access to varying recording equipment. The Norwegian Wind Ensemble plays A=442
