Orchestre national d'Île-de-France - Case Scaglione
is looking for its new assistant conductor
for the 2023.24 season
Applications opened from 19 January until 30 March 2023.
The competition is open to anyone being less than 35 years old on 19 January 2023, holding a higher educaton diploma and having an experience conducting a professional orchestra both in rehearsals and concerts.
5 candidates maximum will be pre-selected on the basis of their applications to participate in the auditions (results will be sent by email on 6 April 2023).
Auditions will take place on Friday 12 May 2023 in Alfortville (France).
Duties of the Assistant Conductor during the 2023.24 season:
The assistant conductor will be involved in the preparation of the Musical Director’s concerts and recordings. He/She will also be present during concert series conducted by guest conductors. He / she will conduct the Orchestra within the framework of an Academy project, in which students from conservatoires of Île-de-France area will participate. He/she will conduct the commented concerts organized for schoolers. Depending on the candidate's profile, he/she could be involved in designing pedagogical and social projects of the symphonic concert season, in partnership with the cultural actions department.
